We ask all new subscribers to carefully read the following document and then click “I agree” when finished. These are the guidelines that keep our CSA running smoothly, and you will be responsible for knowing them.
Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA share is when a farmer offers a number of shares to the community, typically at the beginning of the year when the farm’s expenses are the highest. Members purchase a share when they sign up for a seasonal box, and in return they receive a weekly or biweekly basket of fresh farm goodies according the type of share that is chosen. Along side of the CSA program we offer home & business delivery service, featuring local farm products and local artisans (occasionally we offer non local products such as citrus, which can not be grown around here).
Payments: We use a web-based software program called Farmigo to help manage the financial interactions between our customers and our farm. With it, Local Farmer Crop Boxes, LLC subscribers have online access to their own accounts. Payments for the crop boxes can be made two different ways, 1. You can maintain a balance and we will alert you once it gets below $50 and you can replenish it. 2. You can use a credit card and it will deduct the amount you owe before you receive your delivery. We accept payment via check or credit card.
CSA Details and Pricing:
Farm Share: $29.99 plus tax chosen weekly or bi/weekly
The BIG box: $50 plus tax chosen weekly or bi/weekly
Build Your Own Box: $40 plus tax chosen weekly or bi/weekly
Members who do not meet the minimum price will be billed the additional amount.
Picking Up Your Order: Please remember to pick up your order or have a friend or family member do so. When you pick up at your selected location, please remember to return your box each week. Don’t take a box if one doesn’t have your name on it. All boxes are labeled; if there isn’t one there for you, there’s probably a reason why. If you have someone pickup for you, do not forget to inform them of this policy. Do not look through other peoples boxes.
Missing Your Pick Up: If for some reason you miss your pick-up you can come to the farm in Pacific by 5pm the next day to pick up your box. We’re sorry but we cannot give a credit for boxes that are not picked up; but don’t worry, the produce will not go to waste.
Changing Your Pick Up Location: If you want to change your pick up location, please do so 3 days before your pick up day. If you switch and then want to switch back, you’ll need to log into your account again to do so.
Account Holds and Skipped Pick Ups: You can put holds on your account through the online store, if you are unable to pick up your box. If you need to put your account on hold, please do so at least a week in advance of the dates you will be skipping. We need this information in order to place accurate orders. If we don’t receive your hold request by the Friday prior to your pick-up, you will be charged for the box, and its contents will be donated to charity.
Holiday Changes: We will give you plenty of notice about holiday date changes.
Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time just send us an email or give us a call to let us know.
Returning Your Box: Please return your box when you pick up your next Crop Box at your pick up location. We love to practice recycling and re-purposing of all packing materials including egg cartons. Please return egg cartons with your boxes whenever possible.
